Columbus has always been a national banking and insurance center and a few new banks have been launched here in addition to other fintechs. Given the local presence of folks with skills in this area it seems like a natural home for a new bank that doesn't need proximity to New York/New Jersey or Chicago. Lower cost of living, skilled workforce with banking experience, and a friendly state government.
Personally I find this to be pretty exciting, and as a Lord of the Rings fan I really like the name.
